Thesis Title: The experience of chronic pain: a meta secondary analysis

Dr Jane Richardson
Professor Bie Nio Ong

About

With a background in Psychology and behavioural work I am doing research into how people experience chronic musculoskeletal (msk) pain. I have conducted a secondary analysis using qualitative data derived from a variety of discrete studies. These primary studies have explored different aspects of various msk pain conditions.
I will also be conducting a metasynthesis on the published papers from the studies that were used in the secondary analysis. Doing this will allow for a methodological evaluation of the different re-use techniques; as well as add to our understanding of how these conditions affect the individuals.
